“In 2010, Lisa Clark started selling gluten-free Petunia’s Pies and Pastries at a NW Portland street fair as well as the PSU Portland Farmers Markets. Her popular gluten-free and vegan baked goods were flying off the tables each week. As someone growing up around food but diagnosed with severe food allergies as an adult, Lisa wanted to make things she could eat that others with food intolerances could enjoy too. “It is super rewarding to make (safe) things for people. I like to make people happy,” said Lisa. She adds, “I know how it feels to go somewhere and have nothing to eat.” Opening her first Petunia’s Pies and Pastries brink and mortar location (610 SW 12th Ave) in March 2013, Lisa is very excited to offer Portland a 100 percent gluten-free and vegan bakery where customers can come in and enjoy treats, wine, coffee and more.
