Everyone loves office heroes — those who surprise us by stocking our break rooms with fresh-baked goodies. Everyone except vegans. And those avoiding gluten. Well, downtown office workers can now please all of their co-workers by popping into Petunia’s, where display cases are filled with gluten-free and vegan cookies, tarts, scones, cobblers and sticky buns. And as the name implies, Petunia’s does pies, both whole and by the slice. Just polished off a hearty supper at Gruener? Petunia’s keeps late hours, meaning you can swing by for post-prandial, dairy-free ice cream sundaes and banana splits. You can even enjoy a nightcap there, too. Aviation Gin’s Ryan Magarian designed the specialty cocktail list using ingredients like bubbly, gin, creme de violette and chartreuse. They go down easy, and with pastel hues that match the shop’s colors, they look pretty, too.
